Omid Safi is a prominent scholar of Islamic mysticism (Sufism), contemporary Islamic thought, and spirituality. He is currently a Professor of Islamic Studies at Duke University. He is widely known for his work on love, justice, and the spiritual traditions of Islam, as well as his public engagement on issues of social justice and interfaith dialogue.
