Osama O. Awadelkarim is a Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Penn State University and Associate Director of the Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization. He earned his B.S. in Physics from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and his Ph.D. from Reading University in the UK. His research focuses on electronic materials, nanoelectronics, and nano/microelectromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS), including thin-film transistors and semiconductor devices.
