Fayekah Assanah is an Assistant Professor in Residence of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn). She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from UConn and focuses on biomaterials, hydrogels, tissue engineering, and cellular responses to mechanical forces, especially in mimicking brain tissue mechanics and studying injury response.
