Eiman Azim is an Associate Professor in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where he holds the William Scandling Developmental Chair. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University. His research focuses on the neural circuits underlying movement, motor control, and dexterity, combining systems neuroscience, genetics, and physiology. His lab investigates how the brain and spinal cord coordinate skilled actions, with implications for neurological disorders and rehabilitation.
