Saied Taheri is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech and the Director of the NSF I/UCRC Center for Tire Research (CenTiRe). With over 35 years of academic and industrial experience, he specializes in automotive engineering, tire and vehicle dynamics, intelligent systems, and data analytics. Before joining Virginia Tech in 2007, he worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Ford Scientific Research Labs, TRW Automotive, and also taught at Tehran Polytechnic Institute. His work bridges industry and academia, advancing intelligent tire technologies, vehicle safety, and dynamics research.
