Rais Ahmad is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Construction Management at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He earned his B.S. (1995) and M.S. (1999) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, and his Ph.D. (2005) from the University of Arizona. His research focuses on wave propagation, non‑destructive testing (NDT), earthquake engineering, and advanced material behavior, with over 40 publications in journals and conferences. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California and North Carolina and serves as the ASCE‑CSUN Faculty Advisor.
