Adah Almutairi is a scientist and professor at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She is known for her work in nanomedicine, nanotechnology, chemistry, and polymer science. She directs the Center for Excellence in Nanomedicine and Engineering and holds multiple patents, some licensed to pharmaceutical industries. She earned her Ph.D. in materials chemistry from UC Riverside (2005) and completed postdoctoral studies at UC Berkeley. She has received major honors, including the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (2009) and recognition as a Kavli Fellow (2016).
