Ahmed M. Elnahas is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He has been with UTRGV since 2018, first serving as an Assistant Professor before being promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. His academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Memphis, and prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Mansoura in Egypt. His research interests span corporate finance, Islamic finance, politics and finance, and mergers and acquisitions, with over 500 citations on Google Scholar. He previously taught at Eastern Kentucky University before joining UTRGV. Students often highlight his engaging lectures and accessibility outside of class.
