Ali Bazzi is the Madonna Professor in Power Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn). He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign (UIUC) and his B.E. and M.E. degrees from the American University of Beirut (AUB). He is also Co‑founder and Vice President for Energy Conversion and Propulsion at Valcon Labs Inc, a deep‑tech startup focused on aircraft electrification. His expertise lies in power electronics, energy conversion, propulsion systems, and electrification technologies.
