The Arab and Muslim Women’s Research and Resource Institute (AMWRRI) was founded in 2009 in Milwaukee in response to the critical need for documenting and conducting research on the experiences of Arab and Muslim women. Recognizing the gap in knowledge and resources available to these communities, particularly women, AMWRRI sought to promote a deeper understanding of the challenges and issues they face both in the United States and abroad.
