Azadeh Bolhari is a Professor of Environmental Engineering in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at CU Boulder. Her teaching covers fate and transport of contaminants, aqueous chemistry, and capstone design, while her research explores the intersection of engineering and social science to understand resilience at family and community levels. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, with projects such as an NSF-funded study engaging low-income Latinx citizen scientists in water quality and community resilience research. Her work emphasizes sustainability, resiliency, and social responsibility in engineering practice.
