Baitul Salaam Network, Inc. is a domestic violence awareness organization that was founded in 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia. It was initially started by four women who were concerned about the issue of domestic violence within their community.
Over the years, the organization has faced numerous challenges, including the closure of their shelter program twice and limited support from the community. However, they have persevered and have made significant contributions to the field of domestic violence awareness. They have assisted over 1,500 women and children through their shelter program, answered thousands of phone calls, and catalyzed the development of other domestic violence awareness organizations and support groups.
