The Capital Area Muslim Bar Association’s mission is to foster a sense of fellowship amongst diverse Muslim legal professionals and establish an institutional presence within the Capital Area legal community. CAMBA strives to elevate our members to prominence, develop future leaders, and amplify our collective voice to impact legal issues affecting the Muslim community.
The Capital Area Muslim Bar Association (“CAMBA”) officially incorporated in the District of Columbia in March 2013 after several years of informal activities. Soon thereafter, CAMBA was approved as a 501(c)(6), professional organization. The first full-term CAMBA Board of Directors was elected in November 2013.
During its inaugural two-year term, the Board was actively engaged in developing a three-year strategic plan for CAMBA. In that process, the Board has formulated its long term mission and vision for CAMBA as it continues to grow into a sustainable organization.
