Dany Doueiri is a Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at California State University, San Bernardino, where he developed the CSU system’s only B.A. program in Arabic. Born in the Congo and raised in Lebanon, he earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from UCLA in 1996. He is co‑founder of IslamiCity, one of the world’s most visited Islamic websites, and has served as technical editor for Quran for Dummies. His career combines teaching, research, interfaith work, and international consulting in language education and human rights.
