Ece Algan is a Professor of Communication Studies at California State University, San Bernardino. She earned her Ph.D. at Ohio University and specializes in international communication, media and culture, and ethnography of communication. Her research explores globalization, digital media, transnational television, activist journalism, and cultural politics in Turkey. She is widely recognized for her work on media, youth identities, and the intersection of communication and cultural studies.
