Emilio Spadola is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Colgate University, also affiliated with the Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies program. He earned his BA from Swarthmore College and his MPhil and Ph.D. from Columbia University. His teaching and research focus on the anthropology of religion and Islam, media studies, and North African societies.
