arhang Erfani is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University. He joined AU in 2005 and specializes in continental philosophy, existentialism, democratic theory, globalization, exile, and aesthetics—particularly the philosophy of film. He earned his Ph.D. from Villanova University and B.A. from the University of the Pacific, and speaks Persian and French.
