Feryal Salem is an Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the American Islamic College in Chicago, where she also directs the Master of Divinity in Islamic Studies and Muslim Chaplaincy programs. She is a scholar of Islamic philosophy, theology, and interfaith dialogue, with notable publications on early Sufism and Sunni identity.
