Hessam Ghamari is a Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He earned his B.Arch. (2008) and M.Arch. (2011) from Iran University of Science and Technology, followed by an M.S. (2013) and Ph.D. (2014) from Texas Tech University. His research focuses on environmental cognition, wayfinding, evidence‑based healthcare design, neuroscience and architecture, and cognitive neuroscience. He integrates design with human behavior, studying how built environments influence health, safety, and well‑being.
