Nader Ahmad came to the U.S in 1995, with hopes of living the American Dream and making a better life for his family. He started out his journey in Florida and soon made the move to the great state of Texas. Nader started working at a Subway to support his family but was always looking for a new opportunity. Nader was the first to realize the potential of the convenience store market and started offering products out of the back of his van. When smaller packs of chicken wings didn’t exist, he bought the larger bags and repackaged them. As his knowledge of distribution grew, so did the company. He purchased a share in a distribution company and eventually renamed it to Jana Food Services. Nader eventually moved Jana Food Service from a small warehouse in Garland to a 100,000 sq ft building in Arlington, TX. Jana Food is now a growing distribution company with a hold in the halal/zabiha markets, convenience stores, and ethnic shops.
