Khaldoun AbouAssi is a Professor of Public Administration and Policy in the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C.. He earned his Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and previously taught at Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government and Public Service. His research focuses on public and nonprofit management, organizational capacity, and global governance, including refugee camp governance and international development. He has published widely and is recognized for his contributions to the study of how organizations and governments operate in complex environments.
