Mostafa Ammar is a Regents’ Professor and Interim Chair of the School of Computer Science at Georgia Tech. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo after completing degrees at MIT. His research focuses on computer networking, including multicast communication, multimedia streaming, mobile cloud computing, and network virtualization. Widely recognized for his contributions, he has published extensively and shaped the field of network architectures and protocols.
