Moulay‑Ali Bouanani is a Lecturer in Africana Studies at Binghamton University. He earned his PhD from the University of Toledo and previously studied in Morocco and the UK. His teaching and research focus on Arabic culture, North African studies, Islamic studies, and Mediterranean history. He has received awards including a Fulbright Fellowship and the Dean’s Research Award at Binghamton.
