Mubbashir Rizvi is a Professorial Lecturer in Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University (Washington, D.C.). His teaching and research focus on political anthropology, development, and social movements, with particular attention to South Asia. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in Pakistan, examining issues of land rights, agrarian change, and resistance movements.
