Nile Green is a Professor of History at UCLA and the Ibn Khaldun Endowed Chair in World History. His research focuses on the global history of Islam and Muslims, tracing networks that connect South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Japan, and America. He has written extensively on how Muslims have responded to encounters with Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism, and to the rise of the West.
