Noor‑Aiman Khan is an Associate Professor of History at Colgate University, where she also contributes to the Middle Eastern Studies and Islamic Civilization program. She earned her BA, MA, and Ph.D. in History from the University of Chicago. Her teaching and research focus on national and transnational identity in Egypt and the Arab world, as well as political and social violence in the modern Middle East and South Asia. She has taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign and the American University in Cairo, and directed Colgate’s Program in Middle East and Civilizations from 2012 to 2015.
