Rayan Saab is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI) at UC San Diego. His research focuses on the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of signal processing, data science, and machine learning, using tools from probability, analysis, and related areas to tackle problems in data acquisition, digitization, and processing. Before joining UCSD in 2013, he was a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow and visiting assistant professor at Duke University.
