Reza Abbaschian is a Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He is also the Winston Chung Endowed Professor in Sustainability and Director of the Winston Chung Global Energy Center. From 2005 to 2016, he served as Dean of the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE), during which the college grew significantly in prestige, research output, and student success, rising into the top 50 public engineering schools in the U.S.
