Shariful Huq is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Civil and Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Texas at Tyler. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Structural) from Texas A&M University (1999), his M.Sc. from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1989), and his B.Sc. from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (1984). His major focus is structural engineering, with a minor in geotechnical engineering, and he has extensive industry experience as a structural engineer and consultant before joining academia.
