Siamak Javadi is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, he earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Oklahoma State University and an M.S. in Quantitative Financial Economics. Before joining UTRGV, he taught at Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo and Ohio University.
His research focuses on banking, financial markets, corporate finance, and political economy, with publications in leading journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Finance, and Journal of Corporate Finance. Beyond academia, Dr. Javadi contributes to discussions on the Iranian economy and is frequently interviewed by Persian-language media outlets like Voice of America Persian and Iran International for expert commentary.
