Sina Shahbazmohamadi is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn), where he also directs the REFINE Center. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at UConn and later completed postdoctoral work in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research focuses on advanced imaging, microscopy, and reliability analysis of micro/nano systems, with applications in biomedical engineering, electronics, and materials science. Widely published and cited, he collaborates with both academic and industry partners to develop next‑generation imaging technologies. Through this work, he is helping improve the reliability and performance of complex engineering and biomedical systems.
