St. Louis Islamic Center “Jamaat Nur” (STLIC) is the youngest Bosniak congregation in St. Louis and part of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in North America (IZBSA). The congregation was founded as a result of the growing need to organize a growing community of Bosniaks in St. Louis. Members of STLIC expressed their desire to establish an institution that, together with other Bosniak institutions, would work on the preservation of Bosniaks from complete alienation from religion and tradition, with a special aspect and programs focused on the preservation of our children and youth from complete assimilation, and the religious and moral renewal of the Bosniak Corps in Saint Louis and beyond.
