Umar Mohideen is a Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Columbia University in 1992 and has been at UCR since 1994, where he also serves as Divisional Dean of Physical Sciences and Mathematics.
